Work-ID, founded in 2025 and based in Zurich, builds a digital skills passport that grows throughout a working life and a Skills-Manager product that identifies who fits professionally and personally. Skills-Manager shows companies which skills exist in their organisation, helps anticipate shortages, and locates missing skills. The product is offered in a freemium model with no system integration required and early adopters are already using it. The individual-facing Work-ID digital skills passport will be available from September 15, 2025. The team recently added Renato Profico as CEO, who brings two decades of experience from JobCloud and Doodle. Work-ID is integrating insights from the Innosuisse flagship project “Swiss Circular Economy for Skills and Competences” with partners including the University of St. Gallen, University of Zurich, EPFL, ZHAW and the Swiss Federal University for Vocational Education and Training.
