365Scores is a London startup that provides fully localised iOS and Android mobile apps to keep sports fans informed with live scores, news, photos and video. The app lets users follow teams, athletes and sports and sends live push notifications—2 billion have been sent in aggregate—and aggregates local sports news and social media. Its Android app has surpassed 5 million downloads and the product is localised in 20 languages. 365Scores includes a social feature called "Virtual Stadium" to enable fans worldwide to converse during and after events. The company says it will use new funding to bolster those social features. The app is free to download and the company plans to monetise later via advertising, sponsored content and select e-commerce.
