Founded in 2024, Boston-based a2z Radiology AI is building an "intelligence layer" for medical imaging so clinicians can obtain radiologist-level insights on demand. Its first product, a2z-Unified-Triage, is the only FDA-cleared solution that simultaneously flags seven urgent findings on abdomen-pelvis CT scans, addressing the highest-volume CT category in the U.S. A prospective study unveiled at RSNA 2025 showed the software cut reporting time by 17.8 %, boosted radiologist confidence by 14.8 %, and lowered mental demand by 22.4 % while improving detection accuracy. By focusing on multi-condition analysis rather than single-pathology point solutions, the company aims to mirror how radiologists interpret studies in real practice. With U.S. abdomen-pelvis CT volume exceeding 20 million exams annually and radiologist shortages worsening, management believes its technology can meaningfully reduce wait times and missed findings. Fresh seed capital will fund partnerships with health systems, continued R&D, and a commercial rollout targeted for 2026. To date the firm has raised $4.5 million and has not disclosed revenue or user counts.
