Abatable operates a tech-enabled procurement platform that connects corporate buyers with carbon project developers and combines market intelligence with advisory services. The company aims to help firms address hard-to-abate emissions through science-aligned carbon procurement programs that deliver measurable environmental and social impact. Abatable reports access to more than 2,000 project developers and says over 150 MtCO2e in carbon credits will be available to purchase in the next 18 months. The business recently completed the acquisition of Ecosphere+, a nature-based carbon credits provider that has transacted over 45 million carbon credits and worked with more than 200 businesses. Abatable plans to use new funding to reach a broader portfolio of corporate clients and scale its tech-enabled procurement offering. The company was founded in London in 2021 and was previously backed by Global Founders Capital, Blue Bear Capital, Keiki Capital, Alumni Ventures and Y Combinator.
