Accacia positions itself to help clients comply with new carbon-reporting expectations such as recent SEC and SGX announcements by providing comprehensive, real-time climate risk data. The company says the product is designed to address both construction and operational emissions and to be a quick, affordable route for real estate firms to pursue net-zero pathways. Accacia has signaled plans to scale globally in response to rising regulatory and investor demand for climate-risk metrics. Accacia offers a SaaS platform that enables large property owners and asset managers to track real-time carbon emissions by integrating with ERPs and property management systems. The platform measures Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions for real estate, including embodied carbon, financed emissions and operational emissions across asset classes such as commercial, retail, multifamily housing and data centers. It is used by REITs, pension and sovereign funds, developers and consulting firms helping clients meet net-zero goals. Accacia has been deployed to more than 20 million square feet of real estate in Asia. The company was founded in 2022 by Annu Talreja, Piyush Chitkara and Jagmohan Garg; Talreja previously spent over 15 years in real estate with firms including AECOM and Marriott. Accacia announced $2.5 million in seed funding to support expansion across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the United States and Canada.
