AccessGrid

120 NE 27th Street Suite 700, Miami, FL, 33137, United States

Overview

AccessGrid, founded by Auston Bunsen and officially launched in April, builds developer-focused APIs that allow enterprises to manage digital credentials directly through Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. The system works even when an iPhone is locked—or in some cases dead—automatically syncing to Apple Watch and other devices. By replacing legacy on-premises badge systems, AccessGrid issues uncloneable credentials with encrypted payloads that can be instantly revoked from the cloud, employing dual, “military-grade” encryption and multi-factor authentication for server access. Unlike competitors that sell service contracts or middleware, AccessGrid positions itself as a pure-play developer platform. Near-term product priorities include hardening security and rolling out additional features, while longer-term plans call for expanding the technology to automobiles and eventually upgrading every access-control reader in the U.S. The company faces rivals such as SwiftConnect and Sharry but believes its API-only approach offers a distinct advantage. AccessGrid has secured $4.4 million in seed funding to finance these initiatives.
