Overview
Account Labs is a Singapore-based company formed by the merger of smart contract wallet provider UniPass and hardware wallet developer Keystone. Keystone is a hardware wallet that uses QR codes for data transmission to keep mnemonic phrases and private keys off the internet, and it integrates with software wallets such as MetaMask, Rabby, Keplr, Core, and BitKeep while supporting over 1,000 digital currencies. UniPass is a non-custodial smart contract wallet offering a seedless, gasless user experience with an email-based social recovery solution. The company is led by Lixin Liu (CEO), Frank Lou (COO), Aaron Chen (CTO), and John Zhang (Chief Scientist). Account Labs raised $7.7M in funding and intends to use the proceeds to expand operations and accelerate development efforts. The products aim to combine secure cold-storage hardware with a user-friendly, recovery-focused smart wallet experience.
