Overview

ACT Genomics, founded in 2014 and led by CEO Dr. Hua Chien Chen, offers DNA sequencing-based cancer solutions across Asia. Its core product is a Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) platform supported by an Asian genome database, a professional bioinformatics and biomedical team, medical reporting, and integrated services. The company's flagship NGS panel, ACTOnco®+, investigates 440 cancer-related genes using a signaling-pathway design to provide optimal treatment suggestions. ACTOnco®+ recommends targeted therapies, hormonal therapies, chemotherapies, and immunotherapies for all solid tumor types. ACT Genomics has operations in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan and has established a joint venture with Canon Medical System Corporation in Japan to operate cancer genomic profiling services and sequencing data analysis. The company recently closed an equity financing of an undisclosed amount and intends to use the funds to strengthen its presence and capabilities across the Pan-Asia region. ACT Genomics is an integrated cancer molecular information company based in Taipei, Taiwan. It provides comprehensive genomic profiling assays and molecular information to physicians and biopharmaceutical customers, along with clinical services. Its offerings help expand targeted therapy treatment options, predict response to immune-checkpoint inhibitors, and utilize ctDNA-based assays to monitor tumor burden and resistant markers. These tests are performed in a CAP-accredited NGS laboratory. The company raised US$12.5M in a Series B and will use the proceeds to boost capacity and ramp up commercial channels to support growth and expansion across Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong. ACT Genomics plans to drive further global expansion following its move into the Asia Pacific region earlier this year.
