Overview
Adaviv offers the Lean Cultivation™ Platform and Crop-Care™ Software, combining proprietary software, machine vision and AI analytics to illuminate plant health and growth biometrics. The platform enables earlier detection of pests, diseases and stress, treatment efficacy tracking, and lower labor and waste costs. Adaviv reports it has helped cannabis operators detect 7–10× more plant health issues, cut cycle-to-cycle yield variation by 50%, and drive 20%+ yield improvements. The company has produced over 3 million annotated plant images from high-resolution data containing rare instances of pests, disease and stress. Adaviv is initially focused on commercial cannabis production but plans to scale beyond that beachhead to other high-value crops and to serve cultivators, regulators, insurers and genetics providers. The company was incubated at MIT and is led by co-founders Ian Seiferling, Ph.D., Moe Vazifeh, Ph.D., and Julian Ortiz, MBA, operating from Somerville, Massachusetts.
