The platform enables earlier detection of pests, diseases and stress, treatment efficacy tracking, and lower labor and waste costs. Adaviv reports it has helped cannabis operators detect 7–10× more plant health issues, cut cycle-to-cycle yield variation by 50%, and drive 20%+ yield improvements. The company has produced over 3 million annotated plant images from high-resolution data containing rare instances of pests, disease and stress. Adaviv is initially focused on commercial cannabis production but plans to scale beyond that beachhead to other high-value crops and to serve cultivators, regulators, insurers and genetics providers. The company was incubated at MIT and is led by co-founders Ian Seiferling, Ph.D., Moe Vazifeh, Ph.D., and Julian Ortiz, MBA, operating from Somerville, Massachusetts.
