Adsquare
Saarbrücker Straße 36, Berlin, 10405, Germany
Overview
Adsquare provides a Mobile Audience Targeting platform (Data-as-a-Service) that enables advertisers to target groups of people based on location and real-time local context. The company maps ad requests into an anonymized grid instead of saving lat/long coordinates, and it says it does not process any personally identifiable information. Adsquare analyzes up to 1,500 dynamic data points per grid square — POIs, events, weather, household data — and grid sizes can be up to 50×50 metres in urban areas. The product is pitched as a way to bridge offline behaviour and online advertising to serve ads based on intent while avoiding cookies and aiming to comply with strict European data protection laws. Adsquare raised a $4.3M Series A led by Target Partners and previously raised a $1.4M seed from Frühphasenfonds Brandenburg, Berlin Ventures and angel investors. The company plans to use the Series A to accelerate growth, support international expansion and continue product development; competitors named include PlaceIQ, xAD and Factual.
