Enmacc is an over-the-counter (OTC) energy trading platform that digitalises the energy trading process. Led by CEO Jens Hartmann and based in Munich, it serves over 450 customers and hosts nearly 2,000 traders from energy suppliers, industrial firms, trading houses and municipal utilities. The company is expanding beyond power and gas to roll out environmental commodities, beginning with guarantees of origin and soon CO2 emission allowances (EUAs). Enmacc is using its European reach to accelerate the energy transition and broaden its commodity coverage. Financially, the company completed the second and final closing of its Series B financing; the first close three months earlier raised an eight-figure sum. Proceeds are being used to strengthen its position across Europe and introduce additional commodities. Enmacc operates a professional communication platform for bilateral energy trading, enabling users to connect with counterparties, clients and other energy trading professionals to exchange information. The platform supports networking and deal flow within the energy trading sector. Launched in 2016, the company was founded by Volker Puck, Marc Trieschmann and Kai Schlegel. Enmacc intends to use newly raised funds to continue developing the platform. The company also plans to hire new people in Munich to support its growth. Led by co‑founder and CEO Ed Laczynski, the platform supports publishers across niche sports, entertainment, educational, lifestyle and children’s programming for both live and on‑demand formats. Zype's product includes paywall and ad integration tools to help content owners monetize, and delivers an enterprise‑level streaming experience across web, mobile and connected TV devices. Zype raised $4.9M in a Series A led by Runa Capital with participation from Revel Partners, Point Nine Capital, Alpine Meridian Ventures and Entrepreneurs Investment Fund. The company intends to use the funding to accelerate its product roadmap as well as sales and marketing initiatives and further technology development. Zype offers a platform for publishers to build video websites and apps for mobile devices and set-top boxes, automatically selecting the best video player for each device and geography and offering its own player. The platform supports monetization through advertising, video purchases, and rentals while allowing publishers to retain audience data and control their revenue streams. The company has been increasingly focused on larger enterprise customers, with clients including Mill Creek Entertainment, What’s Trending, and The Rebel Media. Over the past 12 months Zype says its revenue has grown by more than 40 percent each quarter. Upcoming projects include Zype University, a program to train customers on building successful businesses around online video. Zype is based in New York City. Zype provides a platform that enables online publishers to deliver video across devices and to build their own sites and apps. Its Dynamic Player Technology selects the best video player for each viewer and can swap players when rights or device compatibility vary. The company offers a full monetization layer with options for advertising, video purchases, and rentals. Zype has added support for connected-TV devices including Roku and Amazon Fire TV and is preparing support for Apple TV. Since officially announcing the platform last year, Zype has signed up more than 1,400 customers who manage over 400,000 videos on the platform. Co-founder and COO Chris Bassolino said the product helps broadcast-native customers build direct-to-consumer video businesses.

Participated · Series A · Oct 2014
Adsquare provides a Mobile Audience Targeting platform (Data-as-a-Service) that enables advertisers to target groups of people based on location and real-time local context. The product is pitched as a way to bridge offline behaviour and online advertising to serve ads based on intent while avoiding cookies and aiming to comply with strict European data protection laws. Adsquare raised a $4.3M Series A led by Target Partners and previously raised a $1.4M seed from Frühphasenfonds Brandenburg, Berlin Ventures and angel investors. The company plans to use the Series A to accelerate growth, support international expansion and continue product development; competitors named include PlaceIQ, xAD and Factual.
