Overview

Agrizy is a Bangalore-based provider of a B2B agri-processing platform co-founded in 2021 by Vicky Dodani and Saket Chirania. The platform supports discovery and ordering, fulfillment, and credit facilitation to help processors maximize capacity utilization and overall business outcomes. Agrizy has served over 100 institutional clients across domestic and international markets, including Europe, North America, and Asia. It has processed more than 100,000 MT of agrifood products. The company plans to use the funds to accelerate expansion across existing and new product lines and to develop value-added services. Agrizy also intends to enable quality financial services to better serve agri-processors. Agrizy operates a B2B agrifood processing platform that enables processors to buy pre- and semi-processed products and offers end-to-end fulfillment including quality assurance, logistics, and payment options. The company provides value-added processing services that supply large agrifood processors and brands with custom-processed products while aiming to increase capacity utilization and profitability for SME processors. Agrizy also offers FinTech services that enable formal lenders’ working capital to processors at affordable rates. The company raised $5 million in debt financing and plans to use the funds to strengthen processing capabilities, expand reach to more agrifood processing SMEs in India, and purchase large quantities of agrifood on domestic and foreign markets. Agrizy previously raised a $4,000,000 seed round in April 2022 from Amrit Acharya and other investors. Established in 2020 and based in Bengaluru, Agrizy lists competitors including Copia, AgroFresh, and Hazel Technologies. Agrizy is developing a tech-first platform to bridge the processed agri supply chain by connecting processors and buyers of non-perishable farm products across food and non-food categories. Founded in September 2021 by Vicky Dodani and Saket Chirania, the company offers solutions across digital vendor management and supply and value chain automation. The startup plans to use new capital to build business and engineering teams, develop a suite of digital services for the processed agriculture marketplace, and ramp up customer traction in targeted value chains. Management says the business has been sustainably growing 100% month-on-month from inception. Agrizy targets improved price realization, expanded footprint across locations, and unlocking value for SMEs by enabling formal credit. The seed round is also Ankur Capital's first investment through its India Pitch Fest program.
