Alan is a French digital health insurer offering 100% online health insurance and has positioned itself as aiming to become the "Revolut de la santé." The company celebrated its tenth anniversary around the time of the fundraise. Alan reported 53% year-over-year growth in the first quarter. Following the financing its valuation increased to €5.5 billion, up from €5 billion in the prior valuation. The company recently announced a separate €100 million transaction and added high-profile investors to its cap table, including Kylian Mbappé as an investor and Prosus as a lead in the latest round. CEO Jean-Charles Samuelian indicated the business did not strictly need cash when raising the new financing.
