Alaya is a Swiss SaaS provider that helps companies and their employees take concrete actions on social and environmental challenges through volunteering, giving, and behavior change. Its platform supports corporate social engagement programs and tracks impact; since 2018 Alaya's community of over 86,000 changemakers has volunteered more than 275,000 hours and donated over €2 million. The company has offices in Switzerland, France, Spain, and the UK and is opening branches in Singapore and Germany. Alaya says it will use the new funding to enter new markets, expand its offering, and develop new employee-engagement features. Co‑founders Niklas van Neyghem (COO) and André Abreu (CEO) highlighted plans to focus on virtual volunteering, giving, and remote skills-based volunteering. The startup received a CHF 2.0 million financing to support its international expansion and product development.
