Overview
Gentian is an early-stage investment company founded by the Entrepreneurs Elian Kool and Gerhard Gerner. We focus on investments in SaaS platforms, Mobile, Robotics/Drones and adjacent areas we have a passion for. Based in Switzerland, most of our investments are in the DACH region, but with a clear focus on a global market. We invest exclusively in enthusiastic teams, which we support with our experience as entrepreneurs as board member or advisor.

Sunflower Labs builds autonomous security solutions that combine precision hardware with intelligent software. Its flagship Beehive system deploys an autonomous drone to patrol residential estates, commercial campuses, and critical industrial sites, delivering continuous protection without the cost of traditional guards. The company recently secured nationwide FAA approval to fly its drones beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), significantly expanding operational reach. Sunflower Labs also launched an interactive property configuration tool to help customers design and price installations. Backed by a new $16 million Series B round, the firm plans to accelerate AI development, broaden deployments across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America, and deepen integrations with Alarm.com’s dealer network. Headquartered in San Carlos, CA, the company is supported by a mix of strategic and financial investors, including Alarm.com and several prominent venture funds.

Creaitor builds an AI-powered platform that covers the full content workflow from ideation to generation and optimization, with tools focused on blog posts and SEO-optimized articles. Its product includes a Blog Wizard that guides users step-by-step and features competitor analysis and SERP tools such as Beater. The platform supports content creation in over 40 languages and aims to help brands maintain a consistent voice across markets. Creaitor reports more than 200,000 registered users and has enterprise customers including KPMG, Goldbach, Raiffeisen and L'Oréal. The company plans to use new funding to further develop its content generation and optimization tools and to expand its market presence in Europe and beyond. Creaitor was founded in 2022 and is based in Luzern; Simon Funk is CEO and Michael McCrae joined the leadership team in 2023 to help scale the business.

Its agnostic optimisation engine integrates into clients' IT infrastructure and analyses planning data to deliver optimisation insights directly to planners. The platform lets talents tailor schedules and career pathways via an AI matchmaking system that quickly identifies open work opportunities. Customers including PwC, AMAG, Swissport and KSB report eliminating over 6% of incorrectly allocated labour costs, halving planning time, nearly halving travel costs, and increasing workforce utilisation by up to 12% while respecting individual preferences. With a CHF 2 million financing led by Wingman Ventures, aspaara plans to enhance its commercial software and expand operations beyond Switzerland. Founders previously received support from the Federal Government of Switzerland to promote science-based innovation.

Alaya is a Swiss SaaS provider that helps companies and their employees take concrete actions on social and environmental challenges through volunteering, giving, and behavior change. Its platform supports corporate social engagement programs and tracks impact; since 2018 Alaya's community of over 86,000 changemakers has volunteered more than 275,000 hours and donated over €2 million. The company has offices in Switzerland, France, Spain, and the UK and is opening branches in Singapore and Germany. Alaya says it will use the new funding to enter new markets, expand its offering, and develop new employee-engagement features. Co‑founders Niklas van Neyghem (COO) and André Abreu (CEO) highlighted plans to focus on virtual volunteering, giving, and remote skills-based volunteering. The startup received a CHF 2.0 million financing to support its international expansion and product development.
