Alevin Therapeutics was formed to commercialize a platform of novel small-molecule RGD integrin inhibitors discovered at the University of Nottingham’s School of Chemistry and Business Partnership Unit. The discovery-stage compounds are designed to have superior drug-like properties and broad therapeutic applicability, including lung fibrosis, kidney disease and cancer. The most advanced program is an inhaled candidate targeting Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). The company aims to progress and de-risk its pipeline assets toward clinical development. Founders Prof. Chris Moody, Thomas McInally and Dr. Alison John are described as leading scientists in the RGD integrin field with industry experience. The spin-out arose from long-standing academic–industry collaboration and university translational support.
