Alpha Paw focuses on pet wellness products, offering breed-customized food, supplements and other items for dogs and cats. Originally a small maker of pet ramps, the business was acquired by CEO Ramon van Meer in 2018 and relaunched in 2019 around pet health. Its product lineup includes customized food and supplement toppings tailored by breed and weight, and it plans a subscription box with food, nutritional toppings for ailments (allergies, hip and joint), an edible dental item, and personalized daily exercise regimes. The company reported $20 million in sales last year and projects $35 million in sales this year. Alpha Paw donates meals to shelter dogs for every product purchased and has donated more than 500,000 meals to date. Upcoming efforts include product expansion, international growth and building breed-specific communities on social media to engage pet parents.
