Apowiser has developed PharmAssist, a chatbot-driven digital platform that assists consumers in self-treating with OTC medications by helping them learn about their condition, identify issues that should be escalated to a healthcare provider, check for allergies and sensitivities, and purchase appropriate OTC products. PharmAssist is built on published medication data and a deep understanding of pharmacists' practices. The platform currently covers more than 600 OTC drugs & complimentary products and enables treatment for more than 40 healthcare scenarios. PharmAssist is already in use by Super-Pharm, Israel’s largest drugstore chain, which operates more than 280 branches and has a strong online presence. The company was co-founded in 2021 by Prof. Eyal Schwartzberg. Apowiser raised $1.5M in seed funding in June 2022.
