Applied provides a SaaS recruitment platform that deconstructs the CV and uses behavioural-science nudges, anonymization, role-specific tests and structured scoring to reduce bias in hiring. The product launched in 2016 and is designed to reshape what recruiters see rather than using AI-based matching. It has been used by more than 55 employers to recruit for over 2,000 jobs and has handled more than 50,000 candidate applications to date. Applied takes over the hiring process from inclusive job-description design through to selection, and gives candidates feedback on assessments. The company is building feedback loops by collecting on-the-job performance data to improve future role-specific predictions. Planned use of the new funding includes developing data-science predictions, updating the gendered-language and inclusive job-description tools, and expanding sales and marketing.
