Arviem

Haldenstrasse 5, Baar, Zug, 6340, Switzerland

Overview

Arviem installs automated locating and sensing technology on multimodal containers and cargo to collect data and uncover supply-chain blind spots. It offers cargo monitoring as a fully managed service, including monitoring devices, a data analytics platform, and device logistics and maintenance. The company delivers real-time, carrier-independent location and condition data across the full journey from manufacture to delivery, giving actionable insights to develop cost-saving strategies, assess performance, and identify bottlenecks. After closing a multimillion financing agreement with Swiss financial company Kineo Finance, Arviem reported more than 40% revenue growth in Q3 2022 versus Q1 and Q2 and increased service capacity by over 40% during the year. The company submitted nearly 40% more proposals in 3Q 2022 compared with 2Q 2022 and saw an increase in the average total contract value of proposals. Arviem has launched a new Asian business unit with sales and operations employees in Singapore to serve that market and expects the expansion to contribute to growth in 2023 and beyond. Arviem provides IoT-enabled cargo monitoring devices that transmit real-time location and condition data to a cloud-based supply-chain analytics platform. Its service connects intermodal containers, cargo, vessels and trailers to eliminate logistics blind spots and supports global deployments across various industries. The company uses a pay-per-use pricing model to let corporate clients adopt the service without upfront hardware, software or staffing investments. After ten years of operations, Arviem has driven rapid customer adoption and amassed a large dataset it plans to leverage. The new funding will be used to expand the service portfolio, including development of supply chain financing and supply chain risk-profiling offerings to create a one-stop supply-chain service ecosystem. Arviem is led by founder and CEO Stefan Reidy and is Swiss-based, with total funding now at US$15 million following the Series B close. Arviem offers real-time end-to-end cargo monitoring and analytics that deliver accurate shipment data to help clients optimize supply chains and reduce costs. Its service is used by blue-chip customers including DOW Chemical, Nestlé, Bacardi and Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. The company recently completed a CHF 1.35 million financing round and says the proceeds will allow it to reach profitability this year. Arviem plans to invest the funds in its core value proposition—data analytics—and to enhance front office processes to enable accelerated growth. The product emphasizes providing actionable, real-time data so customers can make critical decisions and lower logistics costs. The company is based in Zug and focuses on supplying enterprise-grade supply-chain visibility solutions.
