Atlas Data Storage is developing end-to-end DNA data storage products that leverage synthetic DNA’s high density, 1,000+ year durability, and scalable, low-cost copying. Its core technology couples novel semiconductor chips with enzyme engineering to enable high-throughput, massively parallel chemistry on a chip. Atlas intends to sell data center products for hyperscalers, enterprises, and government customers to meet AI-era storage demands with ultra-high density, security, and lower power and e-waste. The company positions DNA storage as permanent archival storage that eliminates ongoing migration and reduces carbon impact. Atlas recently completed an initial seed financing and acquired DNA data storage technology assets from Twist Bioscience to accelerate commercialization.
