- NxLite
Participated · Series A · Jul 2026
NxLite develops proprietary permanent, low-emissivity coatings applicable to both glass and polymeric substrates that aim to reduce energy consumption while cutting weight versus conventional alternatives. The company partners with leaders in the window industry, commercial refrigeration, transportation and other sectors and reports having secured commercial agreements and offtake. Since its first close in October 2025, NxLite has been adding capacity and enhancing full-scale manufacturing capability at its Advanced Innovation & Manufacturing (AIM) Center in Canton, Michigan. Financially, NxLite completed a $13.1 million Series A final close and obtained a $3.5 million debt facility from RSF Social Finance to support its manufacturing scale-up. The company appointed Erin Sawyer, a supply-chain and operations leader, to its board to help accelerate operational execution and compress timelines. NxLite is actively scaling its technology for broader commercial application across multiple use cases.
- Atlas Data Storage
Participated · Seed · May 2025
Atlas Data Storage is developing end-to-end DNA data storage products that leverage synthetic DNA’s high density, 1,000+ year durability, and scalable, low-cost copying. Its core technology couples novel semiconductor chips with enzyme engineering to enable high-throughput, massively parallel chemistry on a chip. Atlas intends to sell data center products for hyperscalers, enterprises, and government customers to meet AI-era storage demands with ultra-high density, security, and lower power and e-waste. The company positions DNA storage as permanent archival storage that eliminates ongoing migration and reduces carbon impact. Atlas recently completed an initial seed financing and acquired DNA data storage technology assets from Twist Bioscience to accelerate commercialization. The company is led by CEO Varun Mehta, CTO Bill Banyai, and Executive Chairman George Kadifa and is based in South San Francisco, California.
- Oxylus Energy
Participated · Seed · Sep 2024
Oxylus Energy, spun out of a Yale chemistry lab last year, is commercializing a cobalt-based catalyst housed in an electrolyzer to convert CO2 and water into methanol at room temperature and pressure. Its process is designed to bypass the need for separately sourced green hydrogen by steering reactions to favor methanol formation, which the company says reduces energy intensity and cost. The methanol produced can serve the chemical industry and, with additional refining, be turned into sustainable aviation fuel; the company highlights potential to decarbonize shipping, aviation and petrochemicals. Oxylus aims to build a production-scale reactor to demonstrate aggressive price targets and reach cost parity with fossil methanol at current renewable energy contract prices. Management frames the core challenge as a time-and-money problem to build the system in the next few years. The startup recently raised outside capital to advance scale-up and validation.
- Earthshot Labs
Participated · Series A · Jul 2024
Earthshot Labs offers LandOS, a technology platform and advanced ecosystem analytics that speed and lower the cost of nature-based carbon project development while providing rigorous diligence for institutional investors and corporate buyers. The company has helped develop more than 60 reforestation, conservation, agroforestry, and improved forest management projects and has directed over $55 million in financing. Its current partnerships with Birdlife International and TreeAid cover more than one million hectares and are projected to sequester over 30 million tonnes of CO2. Earthshot emphasizes scientific rigor, workflow automation, and high-quality standards to address market shortcomings around community compensation, over-crediting, biodiversity, and FPIC. The company’s fundraising will be used to expand its platform for project development and financing amid growing institutional and policy interest in voluntary carbon markets. Earthshot’s chief scientist Trevor Keenan has been included on a task force informing policy, and large buyers and coalitions have signaled demand for nature-based credits.
- Earthshot
Participated · Series A · Jul 2024
Earthshot provides a LandOS technology platform and ecosystem analytics to automate feasibility, underwriting, and diligence for nature-based carbon projects. The product lowers the speed and cost of project development while providing detailed scientific rigor for institutional investors and corporate buyers. Earthshot has helped develop more than 60 reforestation, conservation, agroforestry, and improved forest management projects and has directed over $55 million in financing. Current partner projects with organizations like Birdlife International and TreeAid cover over one million hectares and are expected to sequester more than 30 million tonnes of CO2. The company positions itself as an alternative to conventional developers by addressing market criticisms such as unfair community compensation, over-crediting, poor biodiversity outcomes, and rushed FPIC processes. Earthshot plans to use the Series A proceeds to expand its platform for nature-based carbon project development and financing.
