Atrya
Stadtdeich 2-4, Hamburg, 20097, Germany
Overview
Founded in 2024 by Lorian Qorraj, Benjamin James and Julia Beermann, Atrya is building a native blockchain network for payment service providers and financial institutions. Its architecture relies on e-money tokens—created in collaboration with Dutch stablecoin issuer Quantoz—and is designed to comply with Europe’s forthcoming MiCAR regulations. The platform supports cross-border payments, agent-to-agent transfers, refinancing and e-commerce settlement, aiming to eliminate legacy intermediaries such as Visa, Mastercard, SEPA and ACH. Early pilots are already running with partners in Europe, the United States, Asia and Latin America. Management believes the market opportunity is large, noting that fewer than 0.5% of international transactions from Germany currently settle in stablecoins. Atrya is actively pursuing a MiCAR electronic-money license to bring its solution fully on-chain. The recent pre-seed financing provides initial capital to refine the product and expand regulatory and commercial partnerships.
