Aureus Analytics offers an artificial-intelligence platform that combines structured and unstructured data to measure customer experience in real time and produce a SentiMeter score. The platform has processed more than 40 million insurance policy data points and is used to drive retention, loyalty and lifetime value for insurers. The company was founded in 2013 and has operations in the United States and India, with a new headquarters in Hartford. Aureus was an early winner of VentureClash and participated in the inaugural Hartford InsurTech Hub, which supported its expansion to Hartford. The company plans to use its new financing to support growth, accelerate product development, ramp up technology and teams, and drive geographic expansion in the North American market. CI highlighted the strength of Aureus’s management team and analytics solutions as rationale for the investment. Aureus Analytics offers predictive analytics and Big Data‑ready platforms targeted at insurance companies and banks. The startup plans to use the recent funds to enhance product development and expand its engineering and business teams. It raised more than Rs 5 crore (about $850,000) from a group of individual investors through LetsVenture in an angel round. The round was led by Steven Sule, with participants including Google India head Rajan Anandan, Arun Venkatachalam, and Arihant Patni. Aureus was founded in 2013 by Anurag Shah, Ashish Tanna, and Nitin Purohit and maintains an R&D centre in Mumbai. The company is headquartered in Singapore and currently employs 18 people; CEO Anurag Shah highlighted a $9–10 billion global analytics opportunity in the insurance industry.
