Overview
Vimi uses proprietary AI models to provide individualized, curriculum-aligned math tutoring to K-12 students through short, one-on-one sessions. The system continuously adapts via feedback loops, allowing the company to replace human tutors with a lower-cost, scalable alternative. Currently in beta, Vimi is tailoring content to specific U.S. school districts while preparing for a national app-store launch. The Tel Aviv-based startup was founded by Roy Bick and Nir Erez, the creators of Moovit, which Intel acquired for $900 million in 2020. Although it is starting with mathematics, management plans to extend the technology to additional subjects over time. Vimi just secured significant seed capital to accelerate product rollout and market testing. Industry data cited in the article notes that B2C ed-tech startups closed 94 seed rounds totaling $191.7 million in 2025, with a median deal size of $1.65 million, positioning Vimi’s $12 million raise well above the norm.
