Bob.io offers an on-demand, customer‑centric luggage pickup and check‑in service: if a passenger checks in at least four hours before a flight, Bob.io will collect the sealed bag in the city and check it with the airline so it appears on the destination baggage belt. The service is priced from about €15 and the company has commercial agreements with airlines including Iberia, Lufthansa, KLM and AirFrance. Bob.io also partners with travel agencies, hotels and rental hosts to broaden its customer base. Founded in 2017 and based in Madrid, the startup currently operates in Madrid and Barcelona. The company says the new funding will support geographic expansion and additional services; management specifically plans a door‑to‑door offering to pick up baggage from the arrival belt and deliver it to customers’ final destinations. CEO Felix Campano said the startup is working with airlines and airport operators on initiatives to improve the passenger experience and impact aviation logistics.
