- Card Dynamics
Participated · Equity · Feb 2021
Card Dynamics has built a cloud-based B2B platform (PCI-certified) that connects card issuers and merchants to remove friction across the subscription lifecycle, offering services such as full registration at sign-up and operational/commercial replacement at renewal. The platform lets cardholders enroll from the secure bank environment and enables merchants, with customer permission, to update stored card details to prevent failed recurring payments. Founded in 2018 by Mario Cantero, the company emphasizes strategic value for banks (reinforcing direct customer relationships) and merchants (access to high-quality acquisition channels and reliable payment data). Card Dynamics reported strong usage growth during the COVID period, with subscription sign-ups rising 20–40% in early weeks and a monthly peak growth of 85% in April. The business operates on a cloud infrastructure and will use new capital to improve products in response to technological and regulatory trends. Management plans to deploy the funding to build local business-development teams across several Latin American markets to support expansion.
- Digibee
Led · Equity · Jun 2020
Digibee offers a low-code integration platform and automated tools that let customers create reusable integration flows or pipelines using pre-built components and modules. Its cloud services support development and governance of integrations that connect on-premises and cloud-based processes, apps, services and data across organizations. The company targets enterprise customers and competes with legacy integration vendors such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Software AG and TIBCO as well as larger incumbents including Oracle, SAP, Microsoft and IBM. Digibee plans to drive AI capabilities into the platform and focus on developer enablement to boost productivity. The startup has roughly 280 employees and more than 250 customers, and intends to grow its workforce to over 300 by year-end. Management says recent funding will be used to expand growth in the U.S. and Latin America, with particular focus on expanding customer support in the U.S. Digibee is a low-code integration platform launched in 2017 that helps enterprises build and deploy integration workflows and turn those integrations into reusable business logic. The company also offers “Capsules,” packs of common integrations that can be shared across organizations. Current customers include Accenture, Brazilian stock exchange B3 and retail chain Carrefour. Digibee plans to use new funding to support a U.S. go-to-market strategy and to rapidly grow its employee base across functions. Leadership emphasizes hiring top sales talent to expand global operations and better serve multinational customers. The company positioned its product as addressing a major portion of software spend tied to integrations. Founded in 2017 by Rodrigo Bernardinelli, Peter Kreslins and Vitor Sousa, Digibee provides a platform that creates "connections" between management, sales, marketing and other enterprise systems. The company targets large customers and charges a monthly subscription for each connection, with a minimum contract of R$100,000. Its portfolio includes clients such as Santander, Dasa, Pernambucanas and Accenture, and it serves about 90 businesses. Digibee reported revenue of R$4.8 million in 2019 and aims to quadruple that figure within the year. Headcount grew from 30 to 50 employees and the company plans to reach about 100 employees by the end of 2020. Digibee intends to use new capital to invest in technology and to open a U.S. subsidiary and begin serving its first American customers.
- Bag on Board
Participated · Equity · Jan 2020
Bob.io offers an on-demand, customer‑centric luggage pickup and check‑in service: if a passenger checks in at least four hours before a flight, Bob.io will collect the sealed bag in the city and check it with the airline so it appears on the destination baggage belt. The service is priced from about €15 and the company has commercial agreements with airlines including Iberia, Lufthansa, KLM and AirFrance. Bob.io also partners with travel agencies, hotels and rental hosts to broaden its customer base. Founded in 2017 and based in Madrid, the startup currently operates in Madrid and Barcelona. The company says the new funding will support geographic expansion and additional services; management specifically plans a door‑to‑door offering to pick up baggage from the arrival belt and deliver it to customers’ final destinations. CEO Felix Campano said the startup is working with airlines and airport operators on initiatives to improve the passenger experience and impact aviation logistics.
