Overview
Basquevolt develops a proprietary solid-state electrolyte it says can deliver roughly 50% higher energy density than conventional lithium‑ion batteries. The electrolyte is designed to integrate into existing cell gigafactory manufacturing processes without requiring major additional capital expenditure. The company is scaling production of its electrolyte and reinforcing manufacturing and validation capabilities as it works toward TRL6. Basquevolt is collaborating with three automotive OEMs on development and validation and plans to continue engagements with European automakers and advanced applications OEMs. Its technology has attracted both private investment and public funding, and it has previously received grants and support from regional, national and European programs including the EIC Accelerator and sector-specific projects in aviation and stationary energy storage.
