- Fuvex
Participated · Grant · Aug 2026
Founded in 2013, FuVeX develops, manufactures and operates long-range unmanned aircraft capable of beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) flights up to 10 km to inspect and monitor large, hard-to-reach infrastructures. Its integrated ecosystem combines proprietary aircraft, operations systems and AI-powered analytics to automate inspections and detect anomalies; the company holds patents protecting its innovations. FuVeX has inspected more than 36,000 km of power lines and works under major contracts with operators such as UFD-Naturgy and Endesa. Commercial traction accelerated in 2026, with first-half sales equaling full-year 2025 revenue and a client base that has expanded from a single customer in 2024 to four large customers. The firm serves civil, security and defense markets and is expanding internationally across Europe and Latin America while scaling manufacturing and R&D to support dual-use systems.
- Bioherent
Led · Equity · May 2026
Bioherent, founded in 2021 as a University of Málaga spin-off, develops miniaturized integrated photonic sensors combined with surface chemistry and advanced nanomaterials to create label-free biosensors for clinical diagnostics. Its core product is the AllerWAVE system, a compact desktop analyzer with disposable cartridges designed for rapid detection of allergies to antibiotics and acute drug reactions used in anesthesia and biological therapies. The company's technology aims to deliver faster, simplified and highly precise analyses without sending samples to external labs, reducing reliance on highly specialized personnel. Bioherent is supported by three university research groups in photonics, chemistry and medicine and has positioned AllerWAVE to address misdiagnoses of antibiotic allergies and associated antimicrobial resistance issues. In July 2025 it raised €2 million in a financing round involving Axon Partners, the CDTI (Innvierte) and Bullnet Capital, and in March it secured an additional €284,000 in a CDTI-led coinvestment to further develop its diagnostic systems.
- LuxQuanta
Led · Equity · Apr 2026
Luxquanta was founded in May 2021 as a spin-off of ICFO and develops and commercializes quantum-safe encryption solutions centered on continuous-variable QKD (CV-QKD). The company targets telecommunications, public administrations, data centers and critical infrastructure, and reports customers in more than a dozen European countries with deployments in Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the United States. Its team comprises engineers with decades of experience in quantum technologies, FPGA development, telecommunications, digital signal processing, microelectronics, software development and optoelectronic components. Luxquanta positions itself to make quantum security accessible and has rapidly developed its technology since inception. The article does not report revenue, user counts, or other financial metrics.
- NEMA HEALTH
Participated · Grant · Mar 2026
NEMA HEALTH develops Onconeovac, a personalized immunotherapy that combines tumor neoantigens with patented DIF immunostimulatory peptides. The program is currently focused on advanced/metastatic melanoma and aims to be used in combination with other therapies; preclinical animal studies showed tumor prevention and growth reduction comparable to anti‑PD1 and up to fourfold greater reduction when combined with anti‑PD1. The company intends to accelerate preclinical development and investigate applications in other solid tumors and in veterinary oncology. NEMA HEALTH originated as a spin-off from VHIR and the University of Lleida through The Collider program. The recent seed raise and NEOTEC grant are being used to scale peptide manufacturing capacity via BCN Peptides and to professionalize the company’s structure, including the formation of a new board of directors.
- Molecular Gate
Led · Equity · Mar 2026
Founded in 2022 as a spin-off of the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC), Molecular Gate builds advanced security solutions for product labeling and packaging. Its flagship product, Polargram™, prints patented, semiconductor molecular inks into nano-structured patterns that generate unique optical effects nearly impossible to replicate with standard printing or copying techniques. Each label embeds both a visible physical security feature and a hidden digital traceability element in one scalable process, targeting industries such as food, toys, and pharmaceuticals that face high counterfeit risk. The company positions its technology as a combined physical-digital safeguard that can be integrated directly into existing packaging lines. Recent funding will be used to accelerate product development and commercial rollout in response to rising market demand for anti-fraud and supply-chain traceability solutions. Backing from specialized deep-tech investors underscores Molecular Gate’s focus on science-based IP and its ambition to become a reference provider of secure packaging technology.
