Beaconstac builds a QR-code management platform that lets businesses create, manage, and track branded QR codes across physical touchpoints, with customization of shape, captions and background colors. Its customers include United Airlines, Amazon and Deloitte, and the company says it has over 20,000 customers—double the figure from last year. Beaconstac’s platform can track engagement signals such as a customer’s location at the time of a scan while stating it does not collect personally identifiable information and is GDPR compliant. CEO Sharat Potharaju said the new capital will be used to expand the startup’s team and product R&D; the company plans to double its 75-person workforce. Beaconstac was co-founded in 2019 by Sharat Potharaju and Ravi Maddimsetty and has offices in the U.S. and India. The CEO declined to share revenue figures.
