Bild provides a web-based collaboration platform that lets teams interact with 3D CAD, board files, bills-of-materials, schematics, drawings and simulation data through cloud viewers. The company was founded in 2020 by Pradyut Paul, Avinash Kunaparaju and Derrick Choi to move hardware engagements out of email and spreadsheets and speed product development. Bild graduated from private beta with 25 companies and has converted some early users to paying customers; the software is now publicly available. The $3 million seed raise will be used to hire for customer acquisition, sales and marketing and to continue product development, including building a self-service experience for new users. Roadmap items called out include visual diffs and improved ways to show CAD model visibility to close gaps between in-person and on-screen review. The company is still determining pricing strategies.
