Birdt Health is developing a digital platform that uses a network model to deliver alternative transdiagnostic approaches to mental health care. The platform enables clients to self-book online Single Session Therapy with experienced psychologists and to set personalised treatment pathways rather than relying on standard diagnoses. An app stores each client’s personal plan and provides exercises for support between sessions to help integrate therapy into daily life. Birdt’s approach aims to give immediate access to care, reduce waiting times, and prevent symptom deterioration. The company is conducting a Proof-of-Concept project to develop and refine the method based on scientific insights and user experiences. Birdt Health was founded in 2023 by Mark Willems and is based in Amsterdam; it recently secured early-stage funding to support further development.
