- Trusk
Led · Equity · Oct 2025
Trusk is an Amsterdam-based startup founded by Caspar Lusink and Tom Rijntjes that builds artificial-intelligence software for interceptor drones. Its platform links radar or acoustic sensors to specialised, fast-moving drones that can identify, pursue and disable enemy drones with minimal human input. The system follows an “operator-on-the-loop” model, keeping a human in constant supervisory control while the onboard computer calculates the optimal interception path. Trusk positions its technology as a far more cost-efficient alternative to current air-defence systems and aims to scale quickly to meet urgent demand in conflict zones such as Ukraine and, longer term, across Europe. The company aspires to help establish European leadership in autonomous defence systems. To date, Trusk has secured €350,000 in funding from Innovatiefonds Noord-Holland, providing initial capital to advance its proof-of-concept development; no revenue or user metrics have been disclosed.
