Blok was founded in 2016 by Ed and Reema Stanbury and Max Oppenheim and operates physical studios in Clapton and Shoreditch (London) and Manchester. The company runs a hybrid fitness model that links in-studio, at-home and at-office programs via a single digital platform. In May 2020 Blok launched its digital offering, BLOKtv. The platform currently delivers over 200 live fitness classes every month and hosts over 500 on-demand videos. The recent funding will be used to build upon the hybrid model, make additions to management and sales teams, and continue investing in its technology platform. Blok positions itself at the intersection of fitness, art and design within its studio spaces.
