Overview

Crowdcube is an equity crowdfunding platform for entrepreneurs of start-ups and growing businesses. Crowdcube enables individuals to invest or loan in small companies in return for equity or an annual return. As an investment crowdfunding platform, Crowdcube enables entrepreneurs to raise finance with the added benefit of being backed by the crowd. For investors, Crowdcube provides a way to handpick a stake in an innovative business that traditionally would have been restricted to corporate investors. Since Crowdcube first pioneered equity crowdfunding in 2011, a total of £300m has been invested through the platform from a crowd of over 390,000 investors, with more than £230m successfully invested in 520 raises. Businesses like the challenger bank Monzo, which raised £1 million in a record-breaking 96 seconds, as well as household brand names such as River Cottage and the Eden Project along with venture capital-backed businesses such as JustPark, eMoov, Sugru and Chip have all successfully raised growth funding from the crowd.

  • Féroce

    Led · Equity · Aug 2026

Féroce develops and sells high-nutritional-value meats (and increasingly fish) sourced from regenerative farming, with products enriched with abats and marketed as free of pesticides, heavy metals and antibiotics. Its core commercial offering is frozen subscription boxes (multiple sizes and delivery frequencies) already available for order. The company announced expansion into fish (trout already on the site, sardine coming soon) and is using recent funding to lower prices and broaden accessibility. Féroce also intends to formalize long-term partnerships with its farm suppliers to support regenerative livestock systems. The startup emphasizes content and community-building—sharing culinary advice, farm conversations and nutritional discussions—to engage customers. Founded in July 2024 and based in Orcier, Haute-Savoie, Féroce reported nearly €2 million in revenue in its first year and is focused on scaling within France toward a long-term revenue goal of €50 million by 2050.

  • Green-Got

    Led · Crowdfunding · Jun 2026

Founded in 2020 by Maud Caillaux, Andréa Ganovelli and Fabien Huet, Green-Got is a fintech neobank positioned on sustainable finance. It provides customer bank accounts and savings products (including assurance vie and PER) and has reported strong usage metrics since 2024, including over €3 billion in transactions and nearly €200 million collected on its accounts and savings products. The company obtained its definitive payment institution authorization from the ACPR, allowing it to operate payment services directly. Green-Got has expanded into Belgium since July 2023 and plans to build its own banking and payments infrastructure using proceeds from the recent €8 million crowdfunding round. Product road map items include a new app, instant transfers, virtual cards, automated savings and investment features, and remunerated accounts, with a longer-term plan to offer services to professionals. Management targets a trajectory to profitability within 18–24 months as it scales active members and improves margins.

  • Bitstack

    Led · Equity · Mar 2026

Founded in April 2021 and based in Paris, Bitstack offers a mobile application that helps users save in Bitcoin via recurring plans and automatic round-ups on spending. The company reports more than 300,000 active users and over €300 million saved in Bitcoin, and says its revenue grew 2.5x in 2025. Bitstack has been granted PSCA (Prestataire de Services sur Crypto-Actifs) accreditation by the AMF (A2025-003) under the MiCA framework and is supported by Y Combinator. Upcoming product and expansion plans funded by the recent raise include a euro account with a French IBAN, a Visa debit card with up to 1% back in Bitcoin, and geographic expansion into Germany, Spain, Italy and the Benelux. The company also plans to recruit roughly twenty new positions to support growth.

  • Chip

    Participated · Equity · Jan 2026

Chip is a consumer-focused wealth application founded in 2017 by Simon Rabin and Alex Latham that automates saving and investing. The platform serves more than 500,000 active users who collectively hold around £6 billion on the app. Revenue reached £23.8 million in 2024, earning the company 16th place on the Sunday Times 100 Tech list for its strong three-year growth trajectory. Chip has raised over £50 million to date—largely from crowdfunding—which has resulted in more than 30,000 individual shareholders. The firm plans to channel fresh capital into a nationwide TV advertising campaign to broaden brand awareness. Future product launches include personalised investment tools and AI-driven financial guidance, while an annual secondary share sale programme with Crowdcube is being set up to give early backers regular liquidity.

  • Roam

    Led · Equity · Jan 2026

Roam designs, manufactures, and deploys electric motorcycles aimed at replacing the region’s dominant petrol two-wheelers with cleaner, lower-cost alternatives. The company assembles its bikes at a Nairobi factory and pairs them with battery-swapping and charging services to lower total cost of ownership for riders. Management sees a $1.2 billion addressable market in Kenya and a $15.5 billion opportunity across Africa and plans to expand into Eastern and Southern Africa while densifying its charging and service network. To fund this growth, Roam has attracted a mix of equity, debt, and now crowdfunding, accumulating more than $31 million to date. Its $24 million Series A earlier in 2023 combined $14 million in equity with $10 million in debt from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation. Equity backers include Equator Africa, At One Ventures, TES Ventures, Renew Capital, The World We Want, and One Small Planet. By coupling vehicle sales with infrastructure build-out, Roam positions itself as both a hardware manufacturer and an energy-network operator, a capital-intensive model that management believes will create long-term barriers to entry.
