BotanoCap develops green solutions intended to replace toxic chemical materials used by the agricultural, veterinary and household product industries. Its technology creates modified‑release products based on natural ingredients. Applications include crop protection bio‑pesticides, water treatment, natural disinfectants, anti‑flea and tick veterinary formulations, and insect repellents. The company plans to use newly raised funds for business development in China, Europe and the United States, as well as for patent applications, maintenance and regulatory affairs expenses. BotanoCap was founded in 2005 by professors from Ben Gurion University and is led by CEO Mr. Yigal Gezundhait. The company announced a $4.2M fundraising to support these efforts.
