Hinova Pharmaceuticals, founded in 2013 and based in Chengdu, discovers, develops, and industrialises drugs targeting metabolic diseases and cancers. Its pipeline includes nine drug candidates, notably HC-1119, an innovative androgen receptor antagonist for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) now in Phase III international multi-centre trials. The company expects HC-1119 to reach the global market in 2022. Hinova said the new financing will support multi-centre clinical trials and the commercialization of its drug candidates domestically and internationally. The firm is also recruiting a chief financial officer with preferred expertise in city board biomedical listings and Hong Kong IPO experience. To date it has completed prior financings including a Series B+ in January 2020 that raised US$32 million from six institutional investors including GF Xinde Investment.
