Breeze is an offline dating platform founded in 2020 by a group of former TU Delft students and led by co‑founder and CEO Joris van Doorninck. The app removes in‑app chat: after a mutual match users pick a date via a date picker and Breeze books a reservation with an affiliated hospitality partner. Both users pay a small fee for the date, which includes a first drink. The company says it has facilitated 50,000 dates and has recently become the third most downloaded dating app in the Netherlands. Breeze announced a fresh €1.3M funding round and plans to use the capital to accelerate expansion and product development.
