Overview
Brikl is a MicroStore e‑commerce software platform founded in 2016 in Leuven, Belgium by Maarten Boone, Tobias Meixner and Jason ReinhardtBoone. Its MicroStores platform lets businesses set up MicroStores in under 15 minutes and accelerates the design process using placeholder elements, embellishment tools and 3D visualization. The platform’s design tools use a point‑and‑click, drag‑and‑drop interface to quickly embellish products and enhance images. Brikl focuses on custom wear and sportswear, promotional and workwear, and supplier markets. The company has offices in Europe, the US and Thailand. Following an additional investment from Saffelberg Investments, Brikl plans to add substantial headcount to its internal sales and marketing teams, expand its presence in the US, and continue platform innovation. Brikl is a hybrid platform that combines 3D design software, on-demand production and ecommerce to enable creation and sale of custom designs for complex 3D forms. Using a point-and-click interface, users can decorate packaging, clothing, housewares and other physical shapes with colors, graphics, text, logos and images, then export print-ready files. The platform also allows rapid setup of online microsites to sell those creations. Brikl serves sports and team wear brands including Zoot Sports, Garneau, Eliel, Wattie Ink, Warrix and Vermarc Sport. Founded in 2017 and based in Leuven, Belgium, the company employs people across Belgium, the United States, Thailand, Germany and Mexico. It secured $2.4M in growth funding to enhance its software suite for the sports and team wear industry and to expand into packaging and consumer goods sectors.
