Brille24 is an Oldenburg-based e-retailer offering affordable, high-quality prescription eyeglasses for women, men and kids. Founded in 2006 by Matthias Hunecke, the company is led by CEO Mario Zimmermann and CFO Martin van Os. It specializes in direct-to-consumer online sales of prescription eyewear. Following a €7m equity investment (part of a deal amounting to up to €12m), the company intends to continue growing in Germany and to expand internationally. Founder Matthias Hunecke will remain the largest shareholder after the transaction.
