TIME was created in 2009 by Henri de Bodinat and YAM Invest, a €350m long-term investment holding established by 4 successful European entrepreneurs TIME is run by three partners with strong digital and private equity expertise combined with industrial and entrepreneurial approaches; We responsibly support innovative and profitable companies in Europe at an inflection point of their development. Active on the European market, we seek out companies with an enterprise value between €30-€200m. We invest between €10-€30m of equity in each business and look for opportunities in all sector, with a focus on our core expertise: the digital sector. Our fund can take both minority and majority positions in all types of transactions from equity injections to complex LBO/MBO structures.

    Zound Industries designs and sells music-oriented consumer electronics and audio accessories under brands including Urbanears, Marshall Headphones, Coloud and Molami. The company is based in Stockholm with offices in New York and Shenzhen and sells products in over 20,000 stores across 95 markets. Zound reported its most successful year in 2014, with an upturn of almost 70% from the previous year, and received the Supergasell award in December 2013 for rapid growth. Management structured the company for further growth and continued profitability and pursued new product launches throughout the summer and fall, including a pivot into a music-dedicated smartphone. Zound recently partnered with Swedish telecom operator TeliaSonera as part of its expansion efforts. Founders Konrad Bergström and Kenneth Schönborg remain among the largest shareholders alongside Varenne Investment and TeliaSonera. Zound Industries develops and markets electronic audio accessories and related fashion cases under brands including Urbanears, Marshall, Coloud and Molami. The company sells in-ear and on-ear headphones, loudspeakers and mobile-device cases. Zound has seen strong growth in recent years. It entered a strategic partnership with Nordic operator TeliaSonera that includes a marketing agreement and a $4.5 million purchase of a 7% stake. The marketing deal is intended to enable bundling of Zound's products with TeliaSonera mobile subscriptions and gives Telia access to Zound's network of designers, brands and artists. Zound expects the partnership to increase its growth rate.

    Transmedia Communications operates iConcerts, a cross-media entertainment channel and large library of live music concerts, TV shows and documentaries. The company offers HD TV concert programming and VOD services across IPTV, web, OTT and mobile platforms. It has positioned itself as one of the largest HD TV concert channels in Europe and has expanded distribution into Africa and Asia. The business maintains offices in Paris, London, Singapore, Seoul and Beijing and is backed by Swisscom Ventures. Transmedia intends to use new funding to acquire local catalogs, grow distribution on smartphones, tablets, PC and connected TVs, expand into Russia and America, and develop its technology.

Founded in 2006 by Matthias Hunecke, the company is led by CEO Mario Zimmermann and CFO Martin van Os. It specializes in direct-to-consumer online sales of prescription eyewear. Following a €7m equity investment (part of a deal amounting to up to €12m), the company intends to continue growing in Germany and to expand internationally. Founder Matthias Hunecke will remain the largest shareholder after the transaction.

Founded in 2005 by François Thiellet, the company has developed over 50 TV channels around the world. THEMA has built relationships with major pay-TV platforms in France, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Its partners include major international media groups such as Digiturk, MBC Group, ART, ROTANA and ZEE Networks. THEMA raised €6m in funding from TIME Equity Partners. The company intends to use the funding to develop its distribution activities and Web, Connected, and Mobile TV channels.
