The company applies advances in robotics, edge AI, and satellite connectivity to enable persistent inspection, environmental monitoring, and maritime security. It plans to commercialize through a robotics-as-a-service model, allowing operators to reduce upfront capital expenditure and the high daily costs associated with vessel-based missions. Bubble Robotics argues its approach can dramatically lower inspection costs by removing dependence on vessels and crews, which the company says account for roughly 80–90% of offshore inspection costs. The startup draws inspiration from satellite constellations and aims to build a distributed network of autonomous systems to deliver high-frequency underwater data for more efficient ocean management. Financially, the company has just completed a $5M pre-seed round to fund technology development and initial deployments.
