  • Solinide

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2026

Solinide Photonics develops silicon nitride photonic integrated circuits and microcomb sources that can generate dozens of precise wavelengths from a single chip to enable higher-bandwidth, lower-power optical interconnects. The company targets AI data centres and telecommunications applications where moving large volumes of data between processors requires energy-efficient, high-capacity links. Solinide has demonstrated that its microcomb technology can meet the performance required for data-centre links and has integrated it into a rack-mounted product. As a spin-out from Chalmers University of Technology, the company is working toward commercial readiness, scalable manufacturing and real-world deployment. Current plans include expanding engineering and commercial teams, enhancing in-house prototyping and deepening partnerships with industry players. The recent €4 million seed raise is intended to fund these efforts and prepare the technology for manufacturing in Europe.

  • Velatir

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2026

Velatir provides an infrastructure layer that delivers visibility and controls across AI tools, employees, autonomous agents, vendors, devices and underlying infrastructure. The platform combines AI security, policy enforcement, usage monitoring and discovery, offering real-time visibility into AI activity, data flows, costs and the maturity of individual use cases. Companies can establish centralized guardrails across systems and access a catalogue of more than 4,000 AI tools. Velatir has built its platform entirely on European-owned and hosted infrastructure and intentionally does not use US hyperscalers to emphasize data sovereignty, resilience and control. The company launched commercially prior to this seed round and plans to use new funding to expand across Europe and grow its team. Velatir was founded by Michael Sørensen, Elias Sørensen, Christian Møller and Andreas Paulli.

  • InfiniNode

    Participated · Equity · Jul 2026

InfiniNode is a Chalmers University of Technology spin-out based in Gothenburg that develops licensable semiconductor IP for efficient on-chip data movement. Its technologies target interconnect and memory-subsystem challenges in RISC-V, multicore and chiplet-based System-on-Chip designs used in AI and high-performance computing. The company focuses on delivering scalable, low-latency and energy-efficient communication between processors, accelerators and memory to improve system performance and reduce SoC design complexity. With the newly secured €2 million in combined investment and grant funding, InfiniNode plans to expand its IP portfolio, deepen customer engagements and scale commercial operations. The article did not disclose revenue, user or other operating metrics.

  • New Dawn Bio

    Participated · Seed · Jun 2026

New Dawn Bio develops what it describes as the world’s first cultured wood by harvesting stem cells from trees, multiplying them in bioreactors and guiding their development into specific shapes. Founded in 2024 by Tom Clement (CEO) and Kianti Figler (COO), the company combines cell biology, materials science, engineering and AI to accelerate R&D and create tunable wood materials. Its process reportedly enables production up to 10,000 times faster than conventional forestry and aims to eliminate many woodworking steps to reduce material waste and manufacturing costs. New Dawn Bio highlights environmental impact potential such as reducing pressure on natural forests amid the loss of 5.3 million hectares of tropical forest annually and avoiding up to 2.1 gigatons of direct CO₂ emissions per year. The startup recently raised an oversubscribed €2.1 million pre-seed round to advance its technology and expand the team as it works toward commercial products.

  • Tolemy Bio

    Led · Seed · May 2026

Tolemy Bio is developing Orbit, an AI-native system that connects laboratory tools and experimental data sources while incorporating virtual cell models and AI research agents to help scientists analyse cellular behaviour and guide experiments. The company aims to consolidate fragmented research data spread across spreadsheets, lab equipment, and notebooks into a single environment to improve reproducibility and decision-making. Its long-term goal is to build a virtual-cell platform that enables more precise, data-driven approaches to therapeutic development and cell control. The startup was founded by Alex Ward and Caelan Anderson and is headquartered in Cambridge, with substantial operations in Barcelona. Tolemy Bio recently raised €1.4 million in pre-seed funding to grow its data generation, machine learning, and engineering teams and to support early customer and partner deployments.
