C.Scale is a San Francisco-based Public Benefit Corporation offering an AI/ML-driven marketplace that aligns supply and demand for low-carbon building products. The platform embeds life-cycle assessment data directly into design workflows, allowing architects and owners to quantify environmental impacts and select materials at the point of specification. Manufacturers gain a steady flow of qualified leads by tracking material quantities and carbon requirements from a project’s earliest phases. Over the last six months, hundreds of enterprise users have modeled more than 1,200 projects representing 120 million square feet of construction on C.Scale, including two of the three largest architecture firms in North America and nine AIA Firm Award recipients. Strategic integrations with Autodesk and Schneider Electric are already under way, and Stanford University is piloting the system to meet its campus sustainability goals. The company’s solution has been selected for the COP30 Catalogue of Solutions to promote near-zero-emission buildings worldwide. C.Scale was incubated within architecture firm EHDD and spun out as an independent entity in 2024. With its new funding, the team plans to accelerate product development and broaden its footprint across the $1 trillion North American building-materials market.
