- Arcturus
Participated · Seed · Jun 2026
Arcturus develops carbon-nanomaterial-infused copper and aluminum conductors engineered as drop-in replacements for traditional metals. Its process uses lasers to infuse carbon nanomaterials into conductors, producing proof-of-concept wire several centimeters long to date. The company says the materials can carry more electricity with less heat loss, potentially cutting grid losses in half and unlocking roughly 3% more electricity on average and up to 10% during peak congestion. Arcturus has been operating in stealth under founder and CEO Amir Mashal, who has been refining the materials in a garage in Malibu, California. With the $8 million seed funding, the company plans to scale production to tens of meters and test the material in motor windings, busbars, drones, robotics, and data centers. The materials are positioned as form-factor compatible with existing copper and aluminum applications to avoid system redesigns.
- Cocoon
Participated · Series A · Mar 2026
Cocoon develops a rapid cooling, low-capex, modular process that retrofits into existing electric arc furnace waste handling to convert steel slag into a high-performance supplementary cementitious material (SCM). The company’s product matches traditional SCM performance while reducing the embodied CO2 of concrete by up to 40%. Cocoon has piloted its technology at a major steel mill, completed third-party validation of its material in concrete applications, and established an R&D facility and concrete testing lab in London. With demand for SCMs growing roughly 6–7% annually and supply tightening as legacy industrial sources retire, Cocoon targets faster, capital-efficient deployment by co-locating at steel plants to minimize logistics and leverage existing operations. The company is scaling hiring across the U.K. and U.S. and aims to deploy more than 50 sites in the U.S. and Europe (targeting 50 sites by 2035) following its U.S. commercial demo.
- Ezra
Participated · Seed · Mar 2026
Ezra develops institutional-grade AI infrastructure tailored to private capital markets, with a focus on asset-backed finance and private credit transactions. Its platform ingests unstructured deal data rooms and transforms them into auditable, structured datasets that feed automatically generated investment memos and due-diligence reports, all linked back to their original source documents. This architecture seeks to eliminate the hallucination issues that plague general-purpose AI models, giving investors higher confidence in AI-generated outputs. Early traction includes adoption by investment firms overseeing more than $6 billion in assets under management and supporting transactions across renewable energy, infrastructure, and fintech. Looking ahead, the company plans to deepen technical integrations with capital providers and roll out dedicated investor and borrower portals. Proceeds from the recent seed round will fund expansion of engineering and data-science teams to accelerate these product initiatives. Ezra is headquartered in San Francisco and is led by co-founders Dan Rosen (CEO) and Dori Rutkevitz.
- C.Scale
Led · Seed · Nov 2025
C.Scale is a San Francisco-based Public Benefit Corporation offering an AI/ML-driven marketplace that aligns supply and demand for low-carbon building products. The platform embeds life-cycle assessment data directly into design workflows, allowing architects and owners to quantify environmental impacts and select materials at the point of specification. Manufacturers gain a steady flow of qualified leads by tracking material quantities and carbon requirements from a project’s earliest phases. Over the last six months, hundreds of enterprise users have modeled more than 1,200 projects representing 120 million square feet of construction on C.Scale, including two of the three largest architecture firms in North America and nine AIA Firm Award recipients. Strategic integrations with Autodesk and Schneider Electric are already under way, and Stanford University is piloting the system to meet its campus sustainability goals. The company’s solution has been selected for the COP30 Catalogue of Solutions to promote near-zero-emission buildings worldwide. C.Scale was incubated within architecture firm EHDD and spun out as an independent entity in 2024. With its new funding, the team plans to accelerate product development and broaden its footprint across the $1 trillion North American building-materials market.
- Argon AI
Led · Seed · Jul 2025
Argon AI offers an AI-enabled workspace that brings together internal company data (SharePoint, Snowflake, Veeva) with a proprietary, continuously updated database of clinical and commercial sources. Its platform lets life sciences teams build customized AI agents to automate tasks such as end-to-end primary market research, competitive tracking, clinical trial benchmarking, provider insight analysis, and strategic market landscapes. Argon is deployed firm-wide at premier life science consulting firms such as Basis Health and is working with two of the top fifteen global pharmaceutical companies. The product aims to reduce manual searching, compiling, and reformatting of documents and to make knowledge as accessible and actionable as an inbox. The company says these workflows can empower faster decision-making, deeper visibility, and smarter execution across medical affairs and commercial strategy. Argon positions its workspace to save life sciences companies millions in misdirected R&D spending while accelerating delivery of treatments to patients.
