Matic develops an AI-powered home robot designed to respond to voice and gestures, including a Cues feature that lets users point and say commands like “Hey Matic, clean this.” The robot uses voice localization, computer vision and 3D mapping, supports 75 languages, and processes data on-device for privacy. Foundational Industries is developing AI-native factories that span design through production via a single orchestration layer combined with agentic robotics. The company aims to make introducing new products a software change rather than a plant overhaul, enabling faster, higher-quality domestic manufacturing. Foundational plans to reshore supply chains for AI data-center equipment as well as defense, energy, and medical sectors. Its first manufacturing facility is scheduled to launch at the end of the year and will focus on capacity for AI data-center hardware such as power, cooling, interconnect, and related physical infrastructure. The company was founded by leaders from Google's physical AI platform and executives from two of the nation's largest contract manufacturers. Foundational raised a $25 million seed round and is actively hiring as it scales operations.

The platform has over 250,000 users across 425 cities, primarily concentrated in New York and Europe. Corner offers user-generated reviews, photos, curated lists, and features such as bookings/events, reservation alerts, and age- and location-based recommendations. Last year it launched an AI-powered search that uses its proprietary dataset to deliver personalized suggestions. The founders, Eliza Wu and Jake Xia, have helped build the brand presence on social media, and Corner’s digital magazine has more than 91,000 Instagram followers. The company faces competition from larger mapping and review players like Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Yelp while preparing to pursue a Series A.
