Calluna Pharma
Gaustadalléen 21, Oslo, 0349, Norway
Overview
Calluna Pharma was formed by the merger of Oxitope Pharma and Arxx Therapeutics and pursues therapies that harness the innate immune system by precision targeting of upstream innate immune amplifiers (DAMPs). The company has built a pipeline of selective antibodies addressing acute and chronic inflammation and non-resolving tissue fibrosis, claiming favorable safety profiles and broad downstream pathway disruption. Calluna has four programs, including lead clinical-stage CAL101, a monoclonal antibody that neutralizes S100A4, and CAL102, an antibody against oxidized phospholipids that showed efficacy in several preclinical models. The company says its candidates address unmet clinical needs across indications such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, chronic kidney disease, systemic sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and severe steroid-insensitive asthma. Calluna plans to advance its pipeline toward multiple key clinical milestones and is raising further financing to support development over the next 2.5 years.
