Overview

Campfire runs an online portal that brings managers together into facilitated cohorts called "Campfires" to discuss challenges, best practices and provide peer feedback. Cohorts are 12–15 people who meet twice a month for an hour in support-group-style sessions guided by a facilitator and provided prompts. The company supplies content and tools to help managers immediately implement learnings and facilitates feedback from managers' teams. Founders Steve Arntz and Todd Ericksen started the company in 2020; Taylor Murphy and Marinne Pearson joined several months later, and Arntz and Ericksen previously worked at Instructure. The product began as a Slack app and has since been iterated into a proprietary platform based on customer conversations and testing; early customers include Homie and Weave. Financially, Campfire raised $2.5M in seed funding led by Sepio Capital.
