Cape has built a carrier-grade mobile stack that operates its own mobile core and SIMs while leasing tower access as an MVNO, embedding privacy features at the network layer. Its product set includes privacy-enhancing capabilities such as Identifier Rotation, which changes SIM IDs daily to disrupt tracking, and Secondary Numbers to host multiple phone numbers on a single SIM. Since its 2022 founding, Cape has been adopted by U.S. national security professionals, enterprise executives, journalists, activists, and privacy-conscious consumers. The company partners with cybersecurity research institutions including the Air Force Research Laboratory and the University of Maryland. Cape recently declared its service generally available nationwide and has raised $191 million to date to support expansion and continued R&D.
