Capitol builds the Data Stories Platform, an AI-driven interface that sits on top of existing analytics to generate visual, guided analytics and surface insights for business users. The platform is designed to let non-data-scientist healthcare users instantly combat fraud, spot cost savings, improve member engagement, and improve quality of care. Capitol says it eliminates the need for data scientists for many decisions by automatically finding insights and creating visual stories that guide business teams. The company will use the $10 million seed financing to advance the platform, transition out of stealth, and drive adoption in the healthcare market. Already a top three U.S. health insurer is slated to deploy the technology this year. Capitol is headquartered in New York City and its founding team includes experts from Airbnb and Signify Health.
